as previously mentioned, bug eyes and i met craig thompson at a signing at gosh! this past saturday afternoon. then last night, comica hosted craig in conversation with marcel theroux. there was a 30 minute presentation about the development of habibi as well, which was staggering to see. i know i’ve raved about habibi many times before, but the level of detail and amount of research that went into that book is utterly mindboggling. you definitely need to check it out if you haven’t already.
craig himself was a total gent, and i enjoyed much portland appreciation conversation with him. all in all, a sterling couple of days!
